If I win the lottery I would get this: Ultima Demolisher" EVGA SR-2 Intel Xeon X5650 2.66GHz @ 4.00GHz SLI DDR3 System @ £5,999.98 inc VAT plus ask ocuk to built a proper water custom system with 4 x graphic cards with 4.6Ghz!
the SR2 is a workstation board
it doesnt clock as high as x58
200 baseclock is a massive achievement on an sr2 because the 5520 isnt designed to be overclocked.
4ghz is about the commercial limit to the boards. probably 4.2 if you had a nice pair of X5680s in the board that both clocked well.
overclocking becomes complicated on dual QPI chips after 4ghz anyway.
4.6ghz on an SR2 is about as likely as you winning the lottery

Thanks Rich, anyway I off to holiday in Southern Cyprus this saturday for a fortnight. I won't be here until I get back in 12th September. Take care all of you ocuk staffs and forum members - what a pity horrible weather here in uk!

The £6000 "only" gets your two video cards if you want 4 way SLI you going to have to pay for it not that you would want it as I can't imagine 4 cards running in SLI would be very stable.
If I could change one thing on this setup it would be to water cool the video cards rather then the CPU's. Video cards are hotter and more powerful then CPU's these days and IMO they take precedence.
How could you get a rig like that and put it in a non-windowed case? Although that case with a window would be infinitely uber-beastly! I assume you can't just 'whack it in the post' what with the price and the fact it is watercooled. I would love to make some poor joke about Nath delivering it personally but I think he has had enough of them to last a lifetime!

I have the case now so all is good!It is a shame the Armorsuit doesn't have a window, altho with a system like that you would never get anything done!
