im able to use two monitors when using the horizontal span settings on the nview display mode. however im trying to set up dual monitors with ultramon so i could put two wallpapers on the two seperate monitors but ultramon is only detecting one monitor. i've got a 6600gt btw (78.01)

i've figured it out now.

but there's one thing, how do i watch a movie full screen in both monitors ? when i tried it only showed half of the movie in monitor 1 and it's just blank screen/desktop on monitor 2.

and how do i get the taskbar icons/clock to stretch to the second monitor ?

thanks in advance

I get that as well, i'm guessing it isn't possible.

Do you see the ultramon icon in your systemtray? Right click on that and choose options. Select the smart taskbar tab and check the 'use Smart taskbar' option.

Have fun :)

It's a limitation with your video card and/or media software. Most DVD programs use an overlay which can only run on one screen. It cannot render one single video on both video outputs. You may also find that 3D-intense programs will run slowly on the secondary adapter, eg, Google Earth, 3D Games, etc. because (depending on your video card) the primary video output is always given priority over the secondary.

I suggest you do a Google hunt for the hardware and software you need for true multiple monitor video.

Ultramon will not stretch the clock over to the secondary screen. It will manage applications into their respective taskbar acording to the screen they are active on.

Options > Smart Taskbar > "Use Smart Taskbar"
