I know that Gamers Nexus have been excellent in providing really solid benchmarks.

But I haven't found any 1440P UW charts yet.

I wanted to compare a £190 3600 to a used £280 9700K. At 1440p (non UW) the Intel gets like 20fps+ OC'd.

I ideally want to upgrade to a 5700XT

As UW is 34% more pixels, its more GPU bound. But does the Intel CPU still provide 20%+ more FPS?

P.S as a small request... I am really curious how a 5700XT would perform in my current 4670K @4.5GHz system. Any ideas?

You running UW 1440p ?

Personally would get 1070 super over XT unless you need XT for Freesync ?
Would also get it under water or AIB In 2 months time .

In theory, 3600X should hard some FPS mainly for games that can use multiple cores like BFV were netcode and pathways just increase with higher res due to more activity on screen etc

All depends what games you play but you should see uplift of 10 FPS at an average

Yeah I need FreeSync. Do you mean 2070S? That's more like £150+ on the XT. I already have a custom cooler, Arctic IV ready to go and thats the major complaint with the card, noise and thermals from the blower fan.

In my scenario I think the XT would be worth it, it has a lot of OC headroom and the performance difference is a few percent definitely not worth triple figure sums.

My question is more of an upgrade from the 2600 to the 3600... I have seen 0 fps increase from the 4670K to the 2600. I was hoping the 3600 might make a difference? Reddit kids are really hard on the AMD cool aid and tell me that I would get a big difference but I doubt it having moved up already and seeing that my 4670K was more than adequete even in games like BFV.
