Does anyone know of any good software that can help in generating UML Diagrams?

For freebies, have a look at

UMLet
StarUML

I believe Microsoft Visio can also do UML (amongst many many other things...)

The latest preview version of Sun's NetBeans (5.5) has the facility to draw UML diagrams (without necessarily linking them to Java code).
