Personally I never give money to big charities. If I make a donation it is always with a local organisation, like the mousehole bird hospital or dog kennel.

I never give money to human charities as there is already far too many of us so I always choose to give it all to the developers.

the problem with having a minimum on it now is a lot of people who before would have gone "hmmm how much should I put in, £2.50 will do I guess" or similar will now just see humble bundle £1.00, oh that sounds like a good amount I'll just pay that I guess.

The good thing about the choose your price bit was there was no price put in your head as to what it was worth, and more people would sub-conciously give a larger amount.

Every Steam account with a game on it gets a free gift. You could make a new Steam account, get the bundle for 1p then get a gift. The gifts can be literally any game from the store, or a coupon for a % of certain games.

I love the responses to this thread though. Are people even reading the link? This has nothing to do with people buying the bundle for 1p.

They'll shift it back to 1p after this, it benefits them more that way.

The more people who buy the pack, whether for 1p or not, means more traffic, and more traffics means those companies who buy the pack for thousands to get on the leaderboards for borderline free advertising pay more. I'm sure this more than offsets the 1p'ers.
