Unable to change trc timing on Gigabyte P35-DS3

Hiya

I have the above mobo (GA-P35-DS3 rev 2.0) flashed to bios F12. I can't find the option to change the TRC timing in the bios. I've done Ctrl-F1 but this hasn't shown anything new. Anyone know what it is called in the BIOS for this board?

Is the TRC reading filled-in in CPU-Z?

Try Memset to see if it can read and change it.

Nope.

I've just spent 2 years with Gigabyte boards and can't temember ever seeing it. Tho I didn't pay much attention to the sub-timings outside the main 4 and TRD.

Changed TRD to 6 as i'm currently running stock 333 FSB with ram 1:1.

TRD has a huge effect on memory performance. It's what the Performance Enhance option in your BIOS changes, tho Memset allows far tighter control of it.

Thanks again. Is 6 a good setting? I'm running 667 speed at the moment at 1.8v.

I clock them to 800 usually at 2v. What can I get away with at that speed?

6 is pretty low, so it's good.

You'll have to experiment to see how low you can go with the memory at 800mhz. It may be fine at 6 if your northbridge isn't under any real stress.

Cheers mate - I have it at 8 with the memory clocked at 800. Seems perfectly stable. Orthos blend overnight should test that for sure.

Seems a bit quicker aswell but maybe it's just me expecting it to be...
