I'm posting this on behalf of Dark_Shadow

He's having trouble with his network. His PC wont connect but his DS will, he's done ipconfig in cmd and its showing all details bar gateway.
He cant get the router settings to show either. The router syncs and connects online initially.

He's using a 3com Wireless router.

I had that problem with my old Belkin router somehow the default gateway changed, I had to do a hard reset to set everything back to defaults and use the default IP and reconfigure the router.

hmm... Get him to go into device manager and to make sure there isnt a /!\ mark beside the network adapter.

Failing that i would start by reinstalling the network card drivers on his PC. If that fails i'd start pointing the finger at the router. Maybe try another PC and see if you can access the control panel that way.

Just out of interest... ask him what it says when he types in 'ipconfig /all'

Thanks Spencor :)

I'm online but I have a rather strange problem. I tried the router on another computer with a different cable and I had the 'limited or no connection' dialogue pop up. The thing is I'm using the same router using wirelessly on my mobo which took a while to set up.

Now I'm really confused and it just stopped working randomly

Is my router broke?
