For some reason I am unable to connect to "Ryanair" when using my normal internet connection, although I have no problem connecting to anything else. If I however use my VPN (UK connection) I can connect. Why should I have to use a VPN. I never had this problem in the past. I have tried everything without using a VPN disabling, adblockers, Safe mode etc.but It still will not connect.

As anyone got any ideas

Thanks

A bit more detail is needed. What ISP are you with? I'm assuming you're not in the UK at the moment? Tried a different DNS server (eg Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and see if that works?

I am not sure what you mean by a different server

A DNS server is basically the phone book of the internet, it finds the site the web address is linked to. Plusnet's default DNS servers could be linking to the wrong IP address for Ryanair. Meanwhile a VPN will use whatever DNS the VPN host has set it to.

Guide on changing the DNS on Windows here: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using#windows

Alternatively you can change it on your router so it affects all devices on your network.

Also looks like it has happened before: https://community.plus.net/t5/forum...tySupportArchiveForum/thread-id/264997/page/1

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it didn't work. Tried changing DNS but I still had the same problem. However as I only use "Ryanair" 2or3 times a year it is not a major problem to use a VPN

Thanks again for all the advice
