I have a file and a folder i want to delete, but i get an error everytime

Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk

cant even delete both of them in safe mode, any ideas how to get rid of them, or a program that'll do it for me?

no luck im afriad, still there when i reboot.

tried renaming the files using CMD but it just comes up with a batch or syntax error.

Have you tried getting Unlocker to delete them when you boot? It half sounds like you've tried that.

Try Unlocker and the CMD prompt idea in Safe mode?

Hmm this is weird. Anything that Unlocker can't delete, which is a rare event in itself, normally I can delete using the cmd prompt.

Can you post a screenshot of the file you are trying to delete? I'll see if I can work out a good cmd prompt delete command for you. :)

Have you recently reinstalled windows by any chance? I get this a lot when reinstalling as i think it has something to do with the ntfs file permissions from the previous install preventing you from modifying the folder on the new install. The only way to change this is to change the permissions (can't remember where i found this) or to format the hard drive the folder is on.

moveonboot, wouldnt even let you select the folder. :/

Mark1:
yeah its a recent reinstall, but if i remember correctly this file has been saved since then.
