I get this message when XP Pro boots up. It runs chkdsk every time I boot up.
It tells me that its checking my "E:" drive, which is my 120Gb Maxtor Diamondmax 9 HD that I install all my games to.
Just before it gives me this message, it also says "File record segment 3852 is unreadable".
Is it knackered? Or is there any way to repair it?.
Once its done with chkdsk, which takes about 2 minutes, the PC boots up ( my OS is on my "C:" drive ) no problem at all and all data on the "E:" drive is accessible, all games and apps installed there work fine.
