Unable to Shift Odor from Disenfectant

The stuff is well minging, and even gets through my cold. I am gonna get a big massive industrial rubber glover and get my arm in the drain and see if there is any blockage. I am 90% sure there is not blockage as the water level always stays the same, even after flushing the Drains with lods of water.

Ours was the same, the drain round the back looked fine, but something was blocked somewhere. Cleaning with buckets of water for a while, nothing. Sorted itself out after a week, probably a dead rat in the drain or something.

Are you sure you haven't got a tiny bit of it right under your nose on your upper lip, and that's what you can smell?

;)

Update its been over a week now and the smell is still in my house, I cannot shift it even after spending £30 on bleach, other disenfectant, Mr Muscle products, and plenty of air freshener as well :(

My drains are not blocked at all, and water is running good through the pipes. The Drain in question is at the back of the house and away from the kitchen and the pipe from the kitchen is seperate and away from the drain in question.

I am confused and getting rather angry at this situation. I will be calling Jeyes Fluid tomorrow and will be asking them a few questions. As well is there some kind of Goverment Agency or watchdog that I can ask for help as well :(

You'll probably find if your house was exposed to it for a long long time it's worked itself in to the carpets/curtains/furniture. Not sure if you fancy cleaning your carpets on my hunch though :p

That is what is puzzling, the product never entered my house at any stage, it has been kept outside at all times, It was only used once, at the back of the house. I don't have any carpets its all flooring downstairs and its not gotten upstairs, yet

You haven't left the empty bottle lurking around have you? :)

I did my outside kitchen drain with Jayes about a year ago and the odour hung around for only a few days or so.

Sounds like you've got a real problem on your hands there. I would recommend one of these for a while...

Any Ideas who I should contact regarding this issue then :(

Is the drain you chucked it down unblocked now?
edit: sorry - I see it is.

Have you tried costic soda ?
Stick a load of it down the drains you chucked the Jayes down.
Won't do any harm and might break up the jayes. The jayes fluid will form a sticky gooey mass in the drains like a rubber band ball and , although your drains are clear, this stuff stays in them until you phsically remove it either with your bare hands (wear gloves) or costic soda.

Give it a try.
