Unable to update ....

operating system update, I just keep on getting errors, I tried a system restore to see if that would help. Any ideas? :confused:

What operating system is it sony007? XP/Vista/Windows 7 ?

It would be useful if you told us your operating system and the error codes/messages you are getting.

Apologies for the lack of info. OK I'm running Vista & the error code is I'm receiving is code: 800706A4

Hmm are you sure that's right? I did a search and couldn't find much on it apart from fake sites.

Hmm doesn't look too good. There's some suggestions for you to try on Microsoft's site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958044). Look at the "Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2" section under resolution.

is the time and date set right ? i have installed vista and had the clock set all wrong and the updates would not work until correct .
