3Tb hard drive, mistakingly made it a Win10 recovery drive after the util failed to inform me which drive it was going to use.

I have used computer management to delete the partitions yet I'm now left with two area's. The first being E: 2048Gb ntfs, the second 746Gb Unallocated. It won't let me extend the first partition or do anything with the unallocated !? (All options greyed out other than properties and help). Never seen this before, the recovery disk creation tool has left a mess.

How do I clean this up ?, the basic diskpart commands don't seem to help either. 'Clean' appears to work yet the two areas reappear if the disk is then initialised !...
