Just installed XP pro using an upgrade disc and it said at the beginning that It's not recommended to install 2 x O/S on one drive.
I had no choice, even though I've had the option to format and re-install without the need for the original disc, I couldn't install on the "whole" C drive.
So now windows is up and running on C: I am left with 2 unallocated partitions, one 16mb and one 2.75GB
I can understand one of them being the old "dell" recovery area, but now would like to do away witht hat and use the whole disc.
Anyway to make those unallocated partions blend into the C: drive HDD as a whole or are they stuck as partitions.
At least it looks like I have a clean install this time, even if the HDD size is somewhat reduced.
COnfused
