Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection practically confirmed

Hmm, I thought UC3 was a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the set pieces were absolutely stunning. The visuals were just breathtaking at times but it was let down by a weak story line and an abrupt ending.

You spend very little time in the city at the end and the actual ending is massively anticlimactic. The thing that I think they could do less of is constant fire fights. I barely appreciated the scenery because you are being rushed from fight to fight too much.

When you open the doors to the city for the first time its beautiful. I wanted to explore it more and appreciate the work that had gone into it. The attention to detail throughout the game was ridiculous at times but then they didn't quite put that amount of effort into the end of the game.

I wanted to know what happened when they got the Urn out of the water. I wanted to know what was in the water. So many things they didn't really get into.

That being said, easily an 8.5/9 out of 10 which says how good the rest of it was. Really can't wait until UC4 drops. Too many games coming out soon. UC4, Dark Souls 3, Ratchet and Clank.

I decided to have another look at Uncharted on both PS3 and PS4. Seems my first impression from memory that it had aged badly was from the first level and the entrance into the jungle. After that, the detail and lighting is still stunning.

As I'm sure most know but I wanted to see it for myself since I want to get all trophies for the entire series. The PS3 looks a tad higher in saturation as I think the PS4 remaster looks better in softer colours. It still looks stunning for a 2007 game.

Yes, you can see it badly on the character. Sometimes the way the characters move/jump from ledge to ledge feels a bit, Minecraft like? It truly is amazing how one has gotten so used to the Uncharted 4 character animations that the first game feels so stiff. However, the start of Uncharted 2, I've forgotten how amazing 2 was. All that snow. These games are still stunning.

First time i have really sat down and played the uncharted series
Nearly finished drakes fortune.. I know it was the first one but controls are awful, the jumping feels way off and the shooting, well its terrible

Only paid £19.99 for the collection, so im not too bothered because it works out under £7 a game
But so far, i am not seeing any of the hype that this series gets apart from "it looks pretty"

About 50% in UC3 the bit were body parts are all over the place, i so want to play UC4 i have the disk in the draw but i must finish the series in order :(

As a newcomer to the series I had to really force myself through the first game. It hasn't aged well at all but you'll be rewarded with 2 & 3.

2 is probably my favourite but I'm yet to start 4.

Playing through 2 now and I have to say it's the cheesiest piece of **** I have ever played, I am literally hating playing it.

I'm on the final boss battle and it's just ******** absolute ********. Just total luck. I've loved the story but this encounter is souring the whole experience for me.

And that's not even starting on the awful enemy encounters of enemies that can shoot you round corners/below you when you are in cover, enemies that throw laser guided grenades.

The first is the worst of the bunch by a country mile, it's a case of just getting through it. Improves massively in 2, 3 and obviously 4.

Have to agree that 2 is cheesy in parts, and that the final boss is garbage. UC3 > 2.

I ended up going back to it and being just as cheesy with him, I basically just ran around a tree that had three sap things reappearing and it was easy to kill him that way.

I guess it's my fault for playing 3 first (as i completed 2 on the PS3 years ago) but everything combat wise is just so much better in 3. I am amazed there is no way to seemingly tell how well you are doing in a melee fight in 2, you press buttons to attack and just seem to by beaten easily and the enemy don't seem to engage in melee combat and just shoot you.

The shotgun guys, my god the shotgun guys, they can hit you miles away and take ages to kill even on normal, I have no idea how people can do this game on the top difficulty, they obviously have some very good skills or understand the mechanics very well.

As I say there were times i was hiding in cover needing to regen my health and I'd be killed by an enemy not visible on my screen who shouldn't be able to kill me.

Try doing it on brutal :p it was rather frustrating to say the least! I also finished 3 on brutal the other week and was expecting some stupid cheesy boss fight but I couldn't believe how easy it was and beat him on my first attempt!

You've got to hit the centre of the face. On most occasions if you hit most on the centre of the face, one shot one kill. It was the ones with the big shield I detested. They're relatively easy on crushing as long as there isn't too much combat, or I chuck a grenade if it gets messy to take them out. If not you have to shoot their arm while they're firing or their shins/feet for them to fall and drill them by the time they get back up with the shield.

I only saw Brutal on speed run... I cannot find anything higher except crushing for campaign.

Never understood how people have issues with the games myself. I played U2 about a month ago on hard and found it far easier than at launch. Hell the final boss took me two attempts to deal with it was so easy (I was surprised it was over at the time).

I still need to play through the higher difficulties but I find the games are actually better on lower difficulties as you can far more fun with mobility. The pacing in U2 is just perfection, never played a game thats come close to how those beats make you keep wanting to play...

ps3ud0

If it one really extremely annoying thing about Uncharted 2 is the slowness of climbing the moving train as well as the magnetic feeling.

This is quite messed up. Military guys in Uncharted 2 is easier than scrawny pirates in Uncharted. These guys are harder than the big shotgun men in full body armour yet they wear nothing but t-shirts and short trousers, that and I've forgotten how creepy these pirates are in the way they move. Quite a challenge on crushing between waves.

I had forgotten how awesome those big bruisers with the mini guns in Uncharted 2 were before getting on the train. Real fun picking up all the weapons/rifles in the carriage sitting on its side. Every direction guys coming as well as the laser sights. Though that big military bruiser end of the train with the black helmet is something on crushing. Tap dodge too quick and you die. Tap melee too quick and you die.

Just playing through uncharted 1 and its painful to be honest, controls, aiming all feel wrong.

Was uncharted 1 released on PS3 or PS2 ?

Played uncharted 4 few weeks back and that was awesome. Looking forward to playing 2 and 3 again.

IS this re-mastered version completely the same as the original ? reason I ask is because I got stuck on a level think it was chapter 5 in some dark room with water everywhere. had to look on YouTube for a walkthrough and swear there's parts in the walkthrough video I have not seen in this re-master

2007 on PS3. Lol! I'm stuck on that same fortress floor with water on Remastered, a guy with a grenade launcher on a ledge and with small rock waist height walls on the floor. The guys keep coming everywhere around the huge pillars on crushing. You can't hide long behind those walls as they crumble.

I meant crushing :o

You were right after all. Brutal is available after completing crushing for campaign. I was also shocked how easy the showdown bosses were compared to the plane wreck scrawny pirates and Shambala Guardians. The Guardians were murder at times when they shot 3 arrows and got you. The magnetised grenades were amusing as 2 - 4 always managed to reach you.
I was also shocked the guy who done the voice over for Lazarevic was the Glasgow actor from Rambo 2008 and bald Hobbit dwarf. Pretty cool. Graham McTavish.

I don't know what it is about Uncharted 1, even though some of the graphics are quite dated, some still quite good, I loved the story and started really enjoying developing tactics for all the swarms of enemies. More so the descendants. I made the mistake remaining in the checkered floor room where they endlessly kept coming. Though I did get two nice silver trophies from that part. They are great for headshots but damn! I hadn't played the first game since 2008/early 09. The dark plaza/church were great battles. Some of these you had to replay twice in different parts of the day. Really enjoyed it.

Quite enjoyed the chapter, No Escape. Two stationary gunners... and grenade launcher. That sniper rifle sure was fun behind the stairs. Though that jungle chase was murder. Quads, tricycles jumping while they were aiming and they still got you. Soon as it restarted you died. Was crazy their aiming on some parts in the corners. The grenade launcher was fun on the jeep as well.
Let alone the jet-ski. That was a nice break away from the heavy action. Nice scenery on the jet-ski levels.

Something seems quite special about the first game. Lovely lighting as well. I'm still not sure which I love the most. There are things in all 3 games I equally love but that twist in 1 I still love with the alarm/red flashing lights/eerie lighting where Eddy was. As well as running through the corridors starting up the generators and lights as they kept coming for you.
