underated games.

Sleeping Dogs
Has a few quirks but for a console port, it's done very well. It somehow manages to sit between the insanity of Just Cause 2/Saints Row (which I love) and GTA.

Mafia II
Now I'll be honest I didn't expect much, but I really enjoyed the story and the setting, I wish it had been more open ended like GTA games and more involved with less linear stories but the game was well made and the soundtrack and feel were spot on. It's just a shame that it felt like a sandbox game, the trick is to make you forget that!

Mag Runner- Dark pulse? Like Portal with dragons, really enjoyed it.
Hydrophobia: Prophecy? Like Tomb Raider with, er, water.
And another vote for Spec Ops. Mint.

Kerbal Space Program is the only one that jumps to my mind, but I haven't been playing many different games recently!

Underrated by gamers who actually played it? Reviewers? Or in terms of sales?

If the latter, I'd say Spec Ops: The Line. So much more than the distinctly average shooter it appeared to be.

Just tried the demo and have no idea what's going on in battle :o.

Likewise, the game made absolutely zero sense.

Unepic has been really good. Early access indie game that seems to have gone completely unnoticed but its solid good fun and really difficult where it intends to be.

-Medal of Honour (2010): Surprised to see the reception this got, it has some truly epic set pieces such as falling back to defend an LZ. The sort of massive rush I haven't felt since the original Call of Duty.

You have to be joking? Poorly executed, crap, rushed multiplayer and the shortest singleplayer of any game I've ever seen.

SWTOR is definitely the most underrated MMO around at the moment.

It has a lot to offer, its pretty wel polished and quite a bit of end game content. The questing is probably the best out of all the MMO's and the combat is also very well done.

Condemned never really got massive attention which was quite a shame as it was different for the time.

Going back even further theres Kingpin: Life of crime which was so good but overlooked.

Kingpin was realy fun online too. Overlooked mainly because once you were 'in' on a game online, that tended to be all you did.

Great thing about gamespy, all those games listed.. clicked on kingpin one night, game was great fun, (loved that flame thrower) far less serious then quake.:)

Battlezone, people lawd the quality of the original being far ahead of it's time, and rightly so. Battlezone 2, just as good, far better game... yet never a sequel despite it living on to this day with a tight mod community, even being patched by the developer while about 10 years after it's time.

Definately underrated.

Clive Barkers Jericho - starts off as a fairly standard shooter, but evolves into a squad based supernatural seal-team effort where you can take control of 4 soldiers with various powers. Always loved it, and you can pick it up most places for a couple of quid :)

One of my favourite games ever. With the dev patch it still looks great :)
