underated games.

I'm surprised they still sell the game as the developer closed down  I don't think there are any servers for it any more, which is great shame it was epic game when it was released.

TDU 1 servers have been closed down, but TDU2 is still up and running.

Spec Ops the line is ace!

Hotline Miami - Found myself on this the other day thinking "I'll play for 45 minutes before going round my mates". Ended up being an hour late as I want one more go each time.

You have to be joking? Poorly executed, crap, rushed multiplayer and the shortest singleplayer of any game I've ever seen.

Not bothered about multiplayer so can't comment on that, but the SP didn't seem any shorter than most modern day FPS games these days. The previous game in the MOH series, Airborne, is also considerably shorter (6 levels lasting maybe 45mins each on average?). I also thought it was far superior to CoD:BO that came out around the same time (my mini-review here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=17905599&postcount=1638 )
The fact people slate the game in the way you have just strengthens my opinion that it is underrated :)

Agree with comments on Bulletstorm, I found that a lot of fun and what I really liked was the fact that you got some benefit from performing fancy kills rather than just some meaningless 'achievement'.

Annoyingly having seen Kingpin mentioned a few times I went to go and buy it as it was like 75(?)% off in the Steam sale a week or so back, but it is now back up to full price? Wasn't on a daily deal or whatever so WTF was expecting it to be on offer for the duration?

Picked up the C&C complete collection at Origin for my Xmas present.
Good re-playability, very nice AI in c&c3 with computer opponents set on hard, they actually surprised me a few times ( used some units I don't usually use etc ).

Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries

Master Of Orion 2 ( you can get it for close to nothing at gog.com, a dosbox edition )

After another thread jogged my memory my vote goes to

Bridge Builder

One of the lost classics.

As ever - wait for the sales but here's something you might enjoy ;)

My choice for underrated? Prince of Persia: Warrior Within - some neat puzzles and platforming with a cool twist around time travel (palace/decayed palace) and some scintillating sequences of being chased by the Dahaka

Massively overlooked because most people seem to think the Prince had become to 'emo' - I still don't get the hate for this game! :(

Shadowman.

I bought it on a whim years ago, Completed it. Loved it. Then I looked at all the reviews and people slated it. One level in the game had the sound of dentist drills and kids screaming in the background - very unnerving!

Alpha Protocol for me. Of course not perfect, but I found it really enjoyable not to mention the only game of it's kind. I really don't understand the slating this game got, which sadly killed off any hope of a sequel.

This is a great game, very funny at points too
