I've recently had to replace my Ripjaws. Went for 4gb XMS 3 2000 (9/10/9/27)in the end, in the hope that it would give me a bit more flexibility for overclocking.
It looks like I'm going to have to underclock it to hit 3.8ghz stable (173 bclk). As I understand it, the rule of thumb for calculating timings is:
stock cl x new bclk
stock bclk
On this basis, 173 bclk will give me 8/9/8/24, which seems a bit high given the underlcock. Is it worth aiming for lower?
Cheers!
