Underpaid, several times in a row, where do I stand.

I don't get taxed, at the moment, my contract hours fit just inside the no tax band. So no tax or NI to take off really.
After paying car insurance and keep i'm about 20 quid in the red already, no money for petrol or going out at all.

They've admitted they've cocked it up but are refusing to give me the money til next month, anyone know if I can force them to pay me now.

I'm done with calm and rational because it's gotten me nowhere, I wouldn't be too bothered and just be nice about it but I'm buggered up for a month because of a major **** up.

This happened to me when I worked at the Coop part time a couple of years ago, When I started working for them the pay was fine and got paid the right amount but problems started when I worked a full week's overtime and when pay day came I only got paid for around 20% of it. I went up to the manager's office only to be told by the woman who sorts out the store's wages that it will have to be took up with there payroll people and so she said she would send off my pay slip and records of my recent ovetime to them to investigate and I would hear back. 4 weeks later I still never heard from them and then I went back to the same woman again and she told me that apparently I got "overpaid" the past 2 previous months and that they had to claim money back... this was obviously a load of bs as I had already calculated how much I earn from them in a month and they had never overpaid me ever.

Anyway another 4 weeks pass and payday comes again but this time they only paid me 50% of my wages! I went back to the woman again only to be told the same bs again that I had been overpaid previously. By this point I had enough and I had my wages had been messed about with for 3 months running now and from speaking to the other staff some of them had the same problems with their wages too but they never bothered to do much about it! Also the current store manager there at the time was a complete bitch and she started working at the store roughly 8 weeks after I first started, and this was around the point where my wages starting being messed up. Anyway now I had all my information about all of this put together in a word document and how much money they owed me, they owed me nearly £300 (some of you might think it is not much money but at the time I was a student and only working 12 hours a week). Anyway at the same time I handed in my resignation and in the letter I listed my reasons for my resignation down to the problems with my wages and the fact that non of the managing staff never bothered to sort it out properly or even keep my informed. Finished my last 4 weeks that I had to serve as part of resigning dispite wanting to just leave on the spot on giving them my resignation.

Anyway as soon as I finished working there I contacted the CAB and sent them my letter that I put together describing how my wages got messed up and the dates of the paydays etc. Got a reply from CAB saying that they were looking into the case and I would hear back from them shortly, after that I never heard from them again. Never going to work for the coop again the theiving *******. I found out from my supervisor who I worked with that she got demoted from store supervisor to shop assistant purely because this bitchy manager did not like her at all and she also had her transfered away to another store. I know I should have really done more back then to try and at least get somewhere or even manage to get the money back but I have learned now that I should always be on the ball with my wages and always investigate if there is a problem with them and do as much as I can to try and resolve it.

I've been working this crappy job for over 2 years now, and only recently has my pay gotten messed up, it's a lot of money to me especially now i've got no cash in hand work to take.
It all has to go through head office apparently which is why they won't pay me, if I were to turn up at head office and make a massive fuss do you reckon I'd be able to get this money back some time soon? Or would it be a wasted trip?

Tesco do this a lot, it will be the store manager not authorizing overtime you done because the store is probably massively over budget. I never do any OT because i know i will never get paid for it.

If your HR or wages department is anything like ours you will struggle to get your money. Its already in Terry Leahy pockets I'm afraid.

just file an ET1 online on the employment tribunal website for non-payment of wages and its fast tracked, I guarantee they will fold and pay you asap to avoid going to tribunal
