Underpeforming 7870

Activated fine. You should do some 3dmark11 and Heaven runs once you've found your max overclock. I wanna see those scores!

Furmark is a power virus and even with +20% on the power limiter you will still see your card throttling.

I use Unigine Heaven and Sleeping Dogs as my current GPU benchmarks. Both stress your GPU core superbly without providing unrealistic load levels.

Ok so the stutter problem is still there on certain games

Alan wake for example, when you move foward it is like its goin slow then speeds up to catch up kind of thing.

Same for skyrim :(

Perhaps you need to back off on the overclocks a bit. If you're pushing the core/memory further than it can handle at the specified voltage then you will see decreased performance/stutter.
 
Ok so ive been playing around some more

The card at stock, no overclock peforms like utter crap

However i noticed that that is a dual bios switch on this card

So i powerd off the pc, restarted with the switch on the oposite and now the card peforms fantastic at stock

Any ideas what i should do?

Should i send this card back or flash the other bios or leave it?

Also, before on the othjer bios the fans would spin 100% flat out until it was in windows

Any help would be great :)
