Looking for an opinion on whether an 850w PSU is likely to be stretching it for overclocking this watercooled rig:
Antec 850w PSU (will confirm the model in a bit when I get home)
x2 XFX 6970's
I7 2600k Sandybridge
8gb memory
Gigabyte UD7
x2 HDD's (1 SSD and 1 2tb 7200rpm)
Blueray player
Had one pump for the WC setup which was running about 60% ish.
Standard clocks everything was stable as a rock, but start OCing a bit with a touch of Vcore and instability became rife.
Just wondered if the standard rig was at the peek of the PSU's output, hence any more voltage being taken brought in the instability?
I've just installed a 1000w Cougar PSU last night to try again (borrowed from a mate) but haven't had a chance to OC and test yet.
Interested on opinions...
Cheers.

. I would check all the connections again, make sure nothing is causing power leakage or if any program on your rig making the system draw more power than usual.
