It always happens every season, Wenger needs to call it a day... Jose has lost it, Rogers is a genius.
Which so called great managers really are just in the right place at the right time and not truly great. Which managers are doing amazing things with little to work with but not getting much credit.
In another thread I have already mentioned that I think Jose Mourinho is a lucky manager and despite him pulling off some amazing Champions League wins, he has also had it pretty easy and been in the right place at the right time. I'm not sure that makes him a bad manager but I don't think it makes him a great one... not yet anyway. When it comes down to the pressure of expectation in Europe with Chelsea and Real Madrid he does not fair so well.
This isn't just about the premier league, there are some awesome managers in the lower leagues like Ronnie Moore, Steve Cotterill, Karanka and then you have people like Kenny Jackett who pretty much got the ball of Premier League football rolling at Swansea, made League 1 team Millwall competitive in the Championship despite having pretty much nothing to work with and now is doing pretty well at Wolves.
