Undervolt Causing Issues After Restart

I've seen no side effects from undervolting, increase the voltage a little or lower the max clockspeed? It's just a case if finding the right combination for your card.

Are the poor temps you are seeing the gpu core , memory or another part of the card? What actual temps are you seeing ?

Causes could be poor contact with heatsink , check screws are fully tightened and/or remove cooler and reapply thermal paste , could void warranty so consider your options before you do this. You got unlucky with silicon lottery and your chips runs hot is another potential cause. Fans running too slow , up the speed and see if it changes the temps much. Poor airflow in case making internal ambient temps to high so gpu overheats , remove side panel and test again.

If the undervolt is causing instability then do not re apply it.

There's some good guides on you tube. Google one for the 3070. It's worth doing if only for the electricity saving. All cards are different and yours obviously couldn't handle the UV you applied

i have 4 different profiles set up in afterburner with undervolt and custom clock curves because some games dont play nice at the lowest voltage so i just go to the next one and play until crash

As above everyone's undervolt results will vary. What did your undervolt curve look like? Try the next voltage point with the same speed and see if the issue still happens there.
