Unfair o2 price increases

Posting on my brother in laws behalf.

Can he get out of his o2 contract (only 6 months left)

He signed at £24 per month they then increased to £26 and have recently increased to £30.

Mins 500 o2-o2+ 200 cross network
text- unlimeted
data- 100mb

Seems a little unfair to increase over the life of the contract by 20%

no offence but I don't think your brother is giving you the full story here as I have a similar contract (300 o2-to-o2, 200 x-network, unltd texts and 500mb data bolt-on), only have 6 months left on a 24 month contract and I have gone from £21.50 per month to ~£23 per in line with inflation

This is exactly why I left O2 when my contract ended.

And I'm not the only one either.

I'm now on a Virgin sim only 1 month rolling contract. The difference between the two is like night and day, Massive difference in connection and speed of the mobile data.


OP £24 to £30 is a massive jump though.
