UNFIXABLE PROBLEM ?:(

HI GUYS

have a really serious problem here and have been trying for ages to resolve it with no joy .

when my lad is gaming his keyboard goes funny and his keys almost become shortcut keys when he presses d it will take him to desktop its as if sticky keys are on but they are all turned off in control panel.

thought it might be the razer keybard he had so he sold it and purchased a corsair strafe and still have the same problem :(

keyboard has windows lock which is engaged yet its sill done it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

games he plays are h1z1,subnautica, and league of legends

he assigns his mouse keys to bind certain keys and has now also changed the shift key which he had to run to another key as a hope.

has anybody had this problem or know a fix

some things that he has that might cause the problem are below

corsair strafe rgb keyboard
msi d200 gaming mouse
gainward 980ti windforce with nvidea software
steam

any help would be appriciated :(
 
Sounds very similar to a problem i had on Windows 8, although didn't always occur within a game.

Couldn't find a way of fixing it, and ended up doing a clean install for W10 anyway, so not experienced it since.
 
I would try removing all the keyboard and mice software /drivers and try the default windows ones.

You will lose some functions but if it fixes the problem you can reinstall stuff one at a time and hopefully find the culprit.

Of it is a win 8 bug then I would try win 10.
 
forgot to say he is on windows 10

think i can rule out the keyboard as its done it with his razer ultimate and now his corsair strafe ...

maybe its the mouse and binding keys to the buttons

i thought maybe keep pressing shift to run so many times and then using another key might be making something active so thats why i have changed his default run key to another

will see how that goes and if it still does it then will change to maybe another mouse
 
Constantly pressing or holding down the shift key will turn on sticky keys, so it would be better if a command that requires said actions done constantly aren't bound to it.
 
My pc has been doing this lately. Its driving me absolutely wild.

Within a game of Dota, at key times when I'm about to do something important, the damn keyboard stops working, keys just seem to open up file explorer. I have to restart my pc.

I've even went as far as removing my windows key to reduce chances of me touching it.

However I dont even think thats the problem.

I blame windows 10.

thats what is happening to him its like someone is holding down the windows button and all buttons become shortcuts
 
I had this problem the other day, luckily I had somebody in my TS channel who knew how to fix it otherwise it would had me completely stumped. I had to double tap the windows key and it went back to normal, I did have gaming mode on my keyboard (if you press windows key nothing happens) but it somehow turned on regardless.
 
I reverted back to a previous build on windows and it hasnt happened since. Touch wood.
