If it makes you feel any better, the "web designer" column is to the left of the "developer" one, with an even bigger stack of books* in the top cell and the phrase "Free publicity from the websites you do!" in the bottom cell**.

Nah, I can't be bothered to mock it up.




* Adobe manuals, plus reference bibles for HTML, CSS, typography, layout, colour theory, logo design, copywriting, UX, digital photography, client management, project management, plate-spinning...

** Or a three-quarter stack of bills. Slightly more accurate, but less pithy.

My sister, whose job title is 'social media consultant' (huge sigh :) ) actually agrees with the image in this thread. To quote her 'getting paid lots to mess about on twitter is ace'.

Dam this unjust world we live in :)
 
if it's true it's not a bad thing. a single seo expert will bring in more money then a single web designer/developer as although it's great to have a decent site, it's more important to be found so this is worth a lot more.
