Just finishing my ucas application (bit late i know) and I have applied solely to Portsmouth.

Is this a bad Idea or not the done thing, or is it fine?

Bit of a risk. i would choose a few more as a fall back. its not guaranteed they are gonna offer you a place!

Put 5 choices down, it doesn't hurt and as already said Portsmouth might not offer you a place (especially as you're sending it so late).

Do this then if Portsmouth don't offer you a place then you have somewhere else to go. It gives you more options and its not going to hurt really is it?

I've applied to 4 course at Portsmouth 2x engineering 2x computing

EDIT: Is it really that late? I thought march was the deadline?

No they'll accept/reject on the course. Not on just the Uni choice. I'm pretty sure that's the case.

Had an offer from Portsmouth on Monday, not sure if I'm going to go there.

Stick another one down somewhere else anyway. No point wasting a choice! I knew where I was going, but gave myself alternatives should everything go insert proverb :)

I ended up in my issurance. Was a bit unsure if its what I wanted to do. Its brilliant!
So yeah insurance is a good idea

I'm not quite sure I understand.....The courses your applying for, are they the courses starting January 08, or the ones starting September 08?

As I thought Uni's starting taking applications(for sep start) from January onwards?

Or, is this an England thing?

Should be alright as long as you have an insurance choice.

I had 2 course choices at only one Uni on my UCAS application and got in fine.

.....

maybe you should do some proper research on what are good unis for your subject?

its not a quick 2 min decision

believe me it wasn't I just had one choice left is all
