Uni Interview Question.

I've had a conditional offer from Oxford Brookes and then I've had a letter giving me two different dates to come down for interviews.

If I've already got the conditional do i have to go down for the interview too ?
 
no.

but it's always nice to have a day of school, and a look around where you might be spending 3-4 years of your life.

also if you make a good impression, and then balls up your exams you have a higher chance of being let in.
 
What's the wording of the letter? Is it a "UCAS visit day", with "a chance to have an informal discussion with a member of staff"?

....The interview enables us to meet you and discuss the course and gives you the chance to ask any questions to find out about the university and if its the right choice for you

He should have already been given conditions of the offer, normally if the conditional offer depends on an interview it will be before the offer is made
 
Oh right. Well yes you have to go, and prepare a little bit (just think up the standard questions, and about how you'd answer) Wear a shirt and trousers on the day and you'll be fine.
 
conditional offers only get denied if you don't meet the grade requirements.

I had to go to my interviews before i got the offer

the letter clearly states what is expected of you. It's more like an open day than a proper interview, as you already have the offer.

The fact that it's an interview makes me think you should still go though. It shows you're interested and might actually answer some questions you might have or tell you something you didn't know prior to the interview. It can't harm you attending it.
 
Go, find out as much as you can about the course, the University, accommodation etc. You may end up spending 3 or 4 years of your life at this place so find out everything you can. The only way to be sure what it is like is to go down and have a look around.
 
Yeah i think i might go now. I've done a lot of looking around on the net about the uni and the area etc. plus i think i may get just under the conditional grades they exspect. so the interview may get my foot in the door a bit.

I have read on their site that if the grades you obtain not up to standard of the conditional offer that the offer will be taken in to more consideration if wanted.
 
I would say that an Interview at Oxford Brookes could be missed if you can't make it, but it'd be worth going just for your own information if you can, just to scope the place out!

Check UCAS as advised, if the conditional is already on there, there aint much chance of it going away and therefore the interview is probably irrelevant to the offer.

they give it to you sometimes before the interview, you'll almost certainly get in, unless you walk in with prison tattoos and stuff.
