Uni Resits/Resubmission.

Slightly more complex prince;

it goes;

First Class Honours (1)
Second Class First Division Honours (2:1),
Second Class Second Division Honours (2:2)
Third Class Honours (3)
Ordinary Degree "Pass" (without honours)
Certificate of Education or similar (aka. you paid us money, so we'll give you some paper)

Then a fail below that I suppose.

However below a 2:2 and it is generally of extremely limited use.

Congrats Neoni, glad you got there in the end :-)

i mean its a 2:2 but its still a good degree :)

Yeah, if you'd fallen below the 2:2 bracket you might have been in trouble, so congrats on steering clear my friend! Wasn't trying to imply 2:2 was bad, just that anything under that margin could give you issues.

I graduated this year too, doing an MSc next

I failed one of my modules in my final year (36%) and was given a straight fail. By fail they basically mean you do not get the credits for that module, however, all marks (even those for failed modules) are used in the calculations of the final degree mark i.e. they still use the percentage mark obtained to work out the degree class. Since I had the credits for every other module I studied, dropping this credit did nothing to effect the honours aspect of the degree and I still got a first class honours. The credits are used to determine whether or not the degree is accredited and if the student has performed to honours level.

A condoned fail is basically when you got a mark between 35 - 39% they will condone the mark and give you the credits for that module. The catch being that there is a limit as to how many credits you can have from condoned modules. If this limit is exceeded then no more modules can be condoned.
