You seem a little upset?
Get Sky if it means that much (or Sky Go off anyone you know with the sports package).
I don't see the interest in the climb to turn 1. What does it do? Blind apex? Wow. Shorten the braking distance? Shouldn't they be doing the opposite?
Eau Rouge has a similar climb... in the middle of a corner. Even easily flat-out that's much more a challenge. What's the point in having it on a straight? It's completely and entirely pointless to me. Us amateurs could do that. And it features the new and exclusive Tilke-widened-braking-zone. I can't wait. From 20 metres to 30 metres. Brilliant. For the BBC highlights. Timed to coincide with the NASCAR schedule, so perfect for breaking into the US market. After midnight here. On a Sunday. The penultimate race of the season. Six hours before I have to go to work.
**** off.
Sky. Bernie. BBC.
Sincerely,
this_is_gav.
The difference with Eau Rouge is they know nobody will be braking from 170 mph to 60. Blind crest on turn 1 with all the possibilities it can throw up on the 1st lap would seem pretty scary to me. Maybe you should have a go?

Nothing beyond the usual. Losing 100mph? Even in a modern sedan that's average. Avoid being Grosjean'd or Maldonado'd and you're golden.
And the second lap? Surely after lap one it just falls into the usual Tilke zone of occasional mild interest, but never really developing into a race.
I should stress that I've not actually seen a lap yet, and while at the moment that may cast against me, if that's the way it falls in the race, then I need only quote this post. If not, then I'd love someone else to quote this post and to humiliate me.
No you are right, closing speeds in a mondeo are pretty much equal to what f1 cars achieve. You got me on this one.

I wouldn't pay £60 a month for Martin Brundle, and that's what I would effectively be doing. I liked David Croft on 5 Live, and don't really dislike him now, but he and Brundle aren't worth £600 a year.
.
The amount of people who seem so passionate and have such strong feelings for F1 but who won't stick there hand in their pocket to pay a bit for it always surprises me.
If it means that much to you, get Sky. If it doesn't, don't. There isn't a fundamental human right that says you must have something you like for free.
Also, Sky plus the HD pack is £30 a month, not £60.
