Universal controller for emulators

Hi all,

I'm after a single controller for use with emulating software. Looking at building an emulator with my RaspPi and need a nice controller to go with it.

Thinking pad over joystick but I need to make sure its got enough buttons to mimic all the old controllers.

Any ideas? Don't fancy spending a fortune either.

yeah I've considered that and will be a last resort.

I was ideally after something that had more buttons on the front like the megadrive controllers. 360 would be ideal for N64 games though.

I'll keep searching and if I can't find anything soon i'll have to use my highstreet voucher for a wireless 360 adapter (if they ever have them in stock)
