So, apart from KB/mouse, do you have anything else attached?

Open "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and see if there are any yellow exclamation marks.
You could try re-installing the chipset drivers.

not right now just keyboard and mouse.

i have just re-installed the chipset drivers and its the same, All items under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" are fine

try doing a properties
details tab
dropdown hardware ids, and web search on the string eg
ven_xxxxxxx

And Google says... The device is a BIOS component found on Asus motherboards to allow Asus utilities and software to communicate with BIOS components.

and on the note al just forget about them.

I have had success in similar situations using slimdrivers. Its a bit "naggy" but works well and can be removed without leaving anything ugly behind.

Might not work in this case though

Pretty sure one of them will be ASUS_AMDA00_ACPI for Windows 7 32/64bit & Windows 8 32/64bit & Windows 8.1 32/64bit and the other may be ASUS Probe II Sense Driver 1.0.1.0 for Windows Win7 32bit & Win7 64bit & Win8 32bit & Win8 64bit & Win8.1 32bit & Win8.1 64bit---(WHQL). Both can be found in the utilities tab on your motherboards support page on Asus website here.
