In the last few weeks i have had an unidentified program popping up on my taskbar. It pops up every 15-20 mins or so (i haven't timed it) and then disappears after less than a second and i haven't been able to track down where its coming from.

The only new thing i have installed recently is the Belkin UPS software but i have uninstalled that and it still does it

It is getting annoying when it minimizes the game im playing
Has anyone got any ideas on how i can pin it down?

proccess manager and see if theres anything running that shoudnt be, adaware and spybot ** pc and you could try msconfig and seeing if theres anything starting up that shouldnt be.

Been through all of that and i cant find a thing out of place
Run Spybot and did a full AntiVirus scan
Task Manager shows nothing that im not expecting to be there.

Edit..
Event Viewer shows a bunch of errors from the UPS as its not connected with the interface cable. So perhaps even uninstalling the Belkin software doesnt remove it all properly.

Cheers for your help

For anything left behind after an uninstall I use a registry cleaner .I've used Tweaknow for years , but I've started to use Wise Registry Cleaner . Both are freebies and will clear out any junk .Another good free proggy is What's running . This will let you know everything thats running on your PC , processes ,start ups etc and one click will close them down .
