This is a strange one, not sure what to make of it. My system is taking an unusually long time to boot (it didn't before, so this seems to have come from nowhere), and when it eventually boots in to windows (Win 10 Pro) I get an error which says a USB device has not been recognised. Yet I only have mouse and keyboard connected.
Within device manager I am seeing two things which I don't understand...
Other devices indicates an 'unknown device' which I have no idea what it's referring to, but it says the location is 'on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System' and that 'The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). There are no compatible drivers for this device.'
Further down in the USB controllers section it says there is an 'Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) and within the properties of that it says the locaiton is 'Port_#0011.Hub_#0003' (no idea where that is) and below that it says 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). A request for the USB device descriptor failed.'
I have updated BIOS and believe I have all relevant motherboard software installed (MSI X99A). Any ideas? I'm stumped!
