Unlocking a 6800GS, worth it?

I've got a BFG 6800GS (AGP) and it seems that unlocking the full 16 pipelines is really easy. Before I blunder in, will I see any real world benefits (in game etc.) or only in benchmarks & is there a possibility that it'll knacker my card or is it just a case of suck it and see?

It's only done with rivatuner, so I can't see how it can damage your card. Worst case would be getting artifacts/freezes. So do it right away, now!

unlocking makes a big difference since the fillrate shoots up considerably.

As above, it's definitely worth it

If you get artifacts as a result just lock the pipelines back up again - it's completely reversible!
