I'm an idiot and forgot to do this before I left the UK on business, and I'm in West Africa, with no O2 signal.

I've emailed O2 support at [email protected] and I'm awaiting to hear back but I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this is remotely possible?

I'm hoping that this is just a case of O2 telling the iTunes store to unlock my phone, I can then attach my phone with a non-O2 sim and it'll then unlock.

Can someone please tell me whether this'll work? If I need to buy another phone I need to do it today while I'm in the capital!

Thanks a lot!

I should think it will. If you request it in the normal way they should sort it with apple at their end. Just as long as you can sync to your itunes account, it should recognise the IMEI number and unlock.
