Unlocking o2 Iphone 5

I was thinking of buying Iphone 5 from my mate, but it is locked on O2 network and I really want to get it unlocked... Problem is that O2 dont unlock Iphone 5 atm

Is there any way to unlock o2 iphone 5?? I`ve seen websites offering unlocking service but they seem dodgy... Anyone been in this situation and found solution??

I've had success unlocking a i5 on eBay, just filter the search to:

UK Sellers only
eBay Top-rated sellers only

Use the relevant mobile sections which cover everything mobile.

Networks and Internet Connectivity does not cover mobile carriers.

I am not sure if they are unlocking them yet, I tried a month ago and O2 weren't unlocking them, it should be soon though.

Any third party site will likely charge a fortune for this, as only Apple give the codes out for unlocking.

O2 may start unlocking them soon, but they might not for a while yet. Moving to O2 is probably your best option if you can.
