While not strictly storage devices, it is related to storage.

I have a conundrum... I'm looking at building out my data storage system and have been trying out unraid and t-raid so far, but will try out raid-f later. My question relates to peoples usage of them and their experiences... Basically I'm after some advice and recommendations. I virtualise my hardware so bear that in mind.

So, which would people go for? I run an active directory setup at home and do a lot of recordings from TV which need to be moved to the right locations once finished, but that initial location needs to be excluded from the parity check as that will cause issues with multiple HD recordings.

Any help is appreciated.
