I think the Unreal 2 multiplayer is no longer supported. They have taken the master server offline. It's basically been superceded by the UTXMP mod for UT2004.

You can still find a few Unreal servers going, as there is still a hard core of players still playing. Might just be a hunt through the net for details or on clan webbys to find the server details.
