Unreal Engine 4 Demo'd on K1 Tegra - OMG!!

So, another pointless SOC for Microsofts crippled Windows RT :p
Inside Android I bet the K1's perfect for some more advanced emulation at higher resolutions.
 
Hmm, I bet this will last for around 5 minutes before temps become to high at the entire device has to throttle.

Seen those and as expected very poor. It looks like it will be the slowest of the new gen GPU’s and at 11watt power drain those are some dreadful scores. The only reason they scored so well is the used a totally unacceptable 11 watt. Which is practically cheating in the mobile world.

As for the demo I don’t see anything amazing. It’s a simple scripted screen with few objects. Why is anyone getting excited about it?

Tegra K1 is pretty much going to fail as it runs far too hot, drains far too much power and isn’t that fast compared to other next gen chips.

As far as I recall the batty life came out at well under half the Ipad. Heat was a problem as well. The speed also drops fast as heat builds up. Tegra has a habit of losing 20% speed as it cannot maintain full speed.
 
The Antutu benchmark has it a little bit ahead of major releases last year but nothing amazing, have yet to be wowed by Tegra a lot of promises so far but nothing amazing.
