also doesnt get why they dropped mario in it

if they dropped no charachter in it would be no news

many engines can create beautiful scenary /effects blah blah.


mario doesnt belong in a world like that.


i have seen many dev builds games mods which look great are they fun to play ? nope.

lets run with mario for a week across a nice looking field #gameover.

right after watching that video im installing the unreal engine to have a play ;D

okay downloaded it had a play on that world/map it looks okay but the dof and motionblur is terrible

liked the grass very realistic the deer are okay (main reason i tried it to compare to theHunter )

the close ups on rocks and stuff isnt that great. like most dev engines look ace in videos then you try them or play games and think hmm its okay.

as pointed out previously the reason this got any attention is cause mario is in it.

Crysis is 8 years old and looks fantastic.

IMO it's showing it's age however good it was at the time.

The branches on the palm tree with the kinks in the branches.
The pyramid ground bump in front of the chickens
The leaves on the bush on the left are in a funny 2d plane
LOD The trees sort of stop on the ridge and then become murky textues on a flat hill.
Gun texture does not convince me it's metal (no shine)
