Unreal Engine 4 to support HTML 5, will be 'end of drivers'

Think about it for a moment if it were THAT easy  it would have been done long ago otherwise Epic are creating middleware like DirectX so future games that use it would/could run on any platform all you would need is the actual data files so everything would be pirated to hell & back & back again!

Think they are being a little ambitious. However, nothing wrong with that. If we accepted what we have now is the best, how do we expect to progress?

I like that they are trying new things.

The company also showed off a demo put together by an artist using a scripter, without technical input by a team.

I would like to see this demo. Doesn't this mean there would be no need for PS4 / any future consoles or fast PCs? Simply a web browser and internet that can stream 1080p - The game just runs on servers i.e 'cloud gaming'

I have no problem with this if it turns out this way. However, I suspect it won't totally.

I think the key word here is: scalable.

It doesn't mean any PC will be running the game with the highest settings in a browser.

What's the worst that can happen? It fails and we don't see it again :p It's nice to see companies still have r+d departments.
