Mark Rein of Epic Games recently gave an interview in which he confirmed a 3rd party has revised the Unreal 3 Engine for use in Wii development.

The Unreal 3 Engine is the driving force behind many famous next-gen games, including Gears of War, Bioshock and Unreal Tournament 3.

dont know if this has been posted before but exciting news for wii owners

It doesn't surprise me, I've been close to people who know the Unreal Engine quite well and there is nothing but positives for it (well, unless you're Silicon Knights) so being able to adapt it for Wii is no surprise. A lot of what people see are the graphics of the engine, but nothing else and it's a brilliant engine with massive levels of adaptability.

it's a brilliant engine with massive levels of adaptability.

And most importantly, scalability. UE has always (well, since the first revision - UT) been scalable to run on pretty much any hardware. IIRC the UT revision of the original engine was *much* quicker on comparable hardware. Definitely good news if Epic choose to licence the engine to Wii developers :)

Sounds good to me. It would be nice to have a Wii Unreal Tournament... as long as it scales well with a good frame rate (considering the fast pace of the game). Could be lovely, if Metroid is anything to go by, in terms of graphics and controls.

And from whats been said in the past i think the game using the Engine is Brothers in arms Hells highway.
