If you haven't played it in a while be prepared for a lot of tweaking to get it running well on later hardware.

Get newer versions of the OGL and D3D9 renderers from http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ as well and check the settings page to set frame rate limit and turn off vsync.

Also I couldn't get the game running anywhere near playable until I got myself a 120hz monitor.

^^ as wlv says, try the D3D9 renderer, it's much better than OGL (esp for Nividia cards).

The deck 16 (all weapons) is usually full with goodish players in there (Fakers

)

I need to dig out the CD but I am definitly up for this.

UT 99 is by far one of my favourite games ever created. Like some, I put a lot of hours into this game and found it very enjoyable.

I always get dreadful mouse lag on 99, and 2004 is the best imo.

I do on Direct3D, OpenGL is fine.

multiplay still host a couple of servers and I tend to pop on there once a week just to get my ass kicked

Also IMO UT99 has the best map music ever. I still play it when I'm playing other games LOL.
