I have posted this on the o2 forums aswell but will hopefully get some more help here.

The problem is my o2 internet keeps lagging out and has been doing it over the last two days, I have switch over my DG834GT back the the wirelessbox 3 I got from o2 but its worse on this. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have also been experiencing the same problems with O2 recently and am currently using a DG834GT router. Always been alright previously.

No idea where the problem lies however.

Lots of CRC errors can't be good. I get about 9 or 10 CRC errors a day with my line so I'd say that 42,379 in 101 minutes isn't so good.

If two of you are having issues maybe it's something on o2's end though but this should not manifest itself as a drop in SNR from 5 to 2.

The drop in SNR on the line seems to coincide with your ping increases so I would guess that you are getting noise on the line and the ADSL signal is struggling to be detected by the modem.

Is there anything audible on the line?

Dial 17070 then select quiet line test. Use a wired phone direct into the master test socket behind the main faceplate. Repeat the test on all the rest of the sockets.

Well my connection droped over night and is now at 9Mbps and the SN Margin is fluctuating between 5 and 13. Its a lot smother than it was but i am still getting little 2 second freezes in games.

At least those CRC have dropped away. FEC I understand are correctable errors but I don't know what HEC errors are.

SNR shouldn't vary that much, although I only have experience of my much shorter line using Routerstats.

Edit: apparently HEC errors can cause retransmission if multiple bits in the header are corrupted.
