I decided to try shaving a bit off my vcore earlier and ended up with an unstable machine error on an a3 unit.

Am i right in thinking i'll get credited for what results we're uploaded and it'll count towards my ten work units needed for the bonuses.

You need ten work units without a failure to qualify for the bonus. You won't get points for a failed unit... Unlucky but my advice would be to do any tinkering between rather than during work units.

Once you've started getting bonuses, anyone know how many failures it can tolerate before kicking you off the bonuses for completed ones? IIRC it gave a percentage not an absolute number..

Not so lucky then, no points credited either, looks like a3s are more intensive than uniprocessor units as it was fine till i switched over. Voltage is back up and i'll see how it is when i get in from work

You have to have 80% complete units returned before the preferred deadline.

Yep, but how many units does it base the 80% on? Is it all units? The latest 10? For example, if it bases it on the most recent four units, then as soon as you miss 1 unit you're under the 80% complete limit and therefore lose bonuses.

I'd say it bases it upon all units returned, not particularly far is someone that consistently returns completed units, returns a failed one and gets penalised

That's what I'd assume.. but once someone's been running for a few months, that's gonna be a lot of failed WUs before the bonus is removed!

It's based on A2 and A3 units. Sorry I wasn't too clear before. You have to return 10 units that qualify for bonus points (bigadv A2 units and all A3 units) before a bonus on your next returned unit is awarded. If you fall below 80% completion of the preferred deadline then no bonus is awarded until you achieve 80% again.

Even a Q6600 can manage about 2 SMP A3 units a day, give or take. So in a week you can lose up to 3 WUs before you get penalised. Unless you have a really flaky machine that is unlikely.

So it's a rolling 10 units then?

Just looking at the EOC stats and I was credited 300 points for the unit, would this mean it counts towards my 10 as it was returned.

Quite surpised by this rig its knocking out an A3 in around 18 hours
