Hi guys I have been running my system stable for a long time on these settings

Clock ratio 20X
BLCK 200
QPI Link Speed X36
Uncore Frequency X13 (2600mhz)
Memory timings (standard) 8 8 8 24 command rate 1
1200 MHZ (memory)
Voltage 1.5v (memory)
CPU vcore 1.26V
QPI/VTT voltage 1.335v

HOWEVER people with a sharp eye might have spotted that I'm running my memory lower than the standard setting 1600MHZ... This is where the problems occur if I increase my memory speed...
I change these settings

8X 1600mhz (ram)
Voltage 1.660 v (ram)
Uncore frequency 17x (3400mhz)

EVERYTHING els kept the same however when booting into windows and stress testing on maximum via Intel Burn Test v2.3 it shows an error on the second result...

My specs are in my link under my sig.... Are there any settings which are wrong??? Anything I need to change to make my memory stable at 1600mhz
Anything obviously wrong I've done that's staring me in my face???
Also anyone with the same motherboard as me what setting did you use to get the memory stable at standard speed of 1600mhz....

Thank you

I had a similar problem with my OCZ gold. Run @ 1600mhz IBT would fail or BSOD & Prime would fail on any setting after 1hr 15mins, this happened with the system overclocked or stock.

As this was the second set, first was faulty I ended up sending the board and chip back to Ocuk which confirmed no problems.
In the end I bought some Patriot ram and have not looked back since, sent the OCZ back and confirmed faulty and refunded.

Sorry for the long post, one thing to check is does it pass with only 2 sticks of RAM.

Or... the uncore can't cope with 3400MHz? Try keeping RAM at same multiplier, upping uncore to x17 as you did, and stress testing with that. May need to up the relevant voltage.

as i take it the uncore frequency has to be 2X(ur ram speed) but due to a bug in the i7 architecture it has to be set 2X(ur ram speed) +1 more setting up....

as for the relevant voltage for Uncore??? i dont know what voltage is liked to the uncore voltage??? QPI/VTT voltage????

QPI/VTT voltage, although you're pretty near the "safe" top - ~1.34V. And often 2x is OK too, just not less than that, although YMMV (more is also OK). For example atm my Uncore is on x12 and my RAM on x6.

Had a similar problem when taking my i5 to 4GHz on my P55 UD5. Seemed like the ram had to be brought down to 1333MHz to get the system stable at 4GHz even though it is meant to cope with 1600MHz. So like you I thought the problem was with the ram. However it turned out with more CPU vcore (i need 1.344) I could then bring the ram back up to 1600 9 9 9 24. Raised the CPU PLL voltage a little too but not really sure if that did much or not. Seems strange but that was my experience. Maybe worth a try for you?

wow thats a high Vcore... mines currently sitting at 1.26 i'll increase to Vcore 1.30V and raise the memory volage to 1.66v and speed 1600mhz and see what that does... if its still unstable i ease up the timings...

P.S. Flashing the Bios to latest didnt solve the problem.. :(
