Hey guys, as i'm getting the MSI 670 PE OC next week, I'm moving all my parts into the Zalman Z11 case. Upon opening it there was a zip bag and inside a cable I am unsure about. It has an 8 pin that splits into 2x4 (male)and the other end I think is female, as it is one block of 8 "slots" for pins to go in.

Guessing it's a PSU to Mobo cable..? I don't recall seeing this in my current PC.

Thats for the motherboard,i know some case's come with these leads as sometimes the power supply one is to short,as case's are getting bigger, the leads on the power supply's are now, hence the extensions :)

Indeed this would be a CPU_PWR extension cable,

Some motherboards only need a 4pin connector while others need 8. I own 2 gigabyte boards, one Intel and one AMD, and the Intel is 4pin and the AMD is 8pin.

This cable will likely help to route the original PSU cable behind the motherboard for better cable management instead of leaving it cross the video card.
