untaxed car question

Omfg you still goin on about the M5, here just for you guys not that i gotta prove anything.... :D

I can produce one of those for a Scania HGV, do I own one? Nope.

I'm a BMW nut, M cars especially. You mention you "own" one, so we want pics..... Nothing wrong with that on a car forum.......

You seem reluctant to post pics of it, which is a shame.

No, you don't have to prove a thing. Just a bit odd that you don't want to share it......

Not to mention that in recent, previous posts he's said how he'd love to have one.

This thread took the exact opposite turn of what I expected from motors..

I was expecting more "dob the #### in" type comments. I agree with the "I pay, why shouldn't he" camp.

He may well have tax/insurance though, DVLA records aren't exactly bullet proof

Maybe you should try tax dodging if you feel that strongly about it.

It seems purely the monetary issue that people are so worked up about, the thought that someone might be a little better off because they haven't shelled out a couple hundred quid for tax. I guess I just don't understand the petty jealousy here.

If it's a genuine concern that this person is a potential liability on the roads, do you frequently examine other peoples cars for defects and report any found to the police?
