Unusual Error - Windows Loading Loops!

This is a new one for me, something I've never encounted before.

When I switch on the PC, it seemingly loads everything and then once the Windows XP loading bar has finished, it then restarts itself and proceeds to go through the whole operation once more. This has only begun this weekend after shutting down perfectly fine on a few days back. I suspect it may be the HDD, or at least I hope so.

I've recently upgraded the CPU, Mobo, RAM and PSU - skipping on the HDD which is still an IDE, the original one which puts it at 5 years old. All of the new hardware was installed without error and it's all been working smoothly. I have had my suspicions about the HDD for sometime after a temperature reading put it at ... 220degrees Celcius! :eek:Thankfully, the family photos have been backed up.

Can anyone shed some light?

Hmm. F8 launches me into the screen when I can select various types of Safe Boot, Last Known Good Configuration [which doesn't work] and Boot Windows Normally.

I haven't had a BSOD yet, it simply loops after the Windows Loading Bar...

Bingo. The option appeared this time after disabling something within BIOS.

This was the BSOD error that has been returned to me:

Stop: C0000221 {Bad Image Checksum}
The image lz32.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum dos not match the computed checksum.

No, I haven't re-installed Windows since the hardware changes which..in retrospect has been a foolish thing to do. Especially since it's been practically replaced in terms of hardware.
